Lunar Madonna and Child connects moon cycles and the Holy Mother. This plaque is fashioned after a 15th century woodcut by the German master Albrecht Durer. By the 15th century, Mary was firmly entrenched in the hearts of common folk as the deification of Mercy and Compassion. This image connects the Queen of Heaven with her ancient roots of feminine and natural cycles.
